If you would rather go a traditional hotel route, Dempolis is a very easy 30 minute/25 mile ride. There is a Best Western, Comfort Inn, and other major hotel chains there.
Tuscaloosa is approximately 45 minutes/40 miles away, and has any hotel chain you could need, along with most of the features of a major college town.

  • 10 miles from Greensboro, Newbern (population approx 130) is home to Rural Studio, an off-campus design-build program, rooted in Hale County and part of the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture of Auburn University. Rural Studio has built more than 200 projects and educated more than 1,200 students in the Black Belt. Those innovative projects now dot the landscape through Greensboro and the surrounding areas.
